OMATIVE systems has released its new Vibration Control & Monitoring system for application on any CNC.
Vibration Control & Monitoring (VCM) is a microprocessor based system that continuously monitors machine tool vibrations and analyzes the data in real-time to either predict pending failures or prevent them. The VCM system issues warnings and/or stops the machine if unacceptable vibration conditions occur. The system also enables the user to identify potential problems and to take preventive actions based on the machine’s vibration signature analysis.
- Data Acquisition module that connects to any CNC
- GUI that is integrated into any PC-based CNC or a stand-alone PC connected to the Data Acquisition module via LAN
- Industrial IEPE accelerometers that are mounted on the machine spindle, table, axis motors etc.
The VCM system is ideal for reducing the vibration breakdown costs of machine components such as spindles, axis motors, bearings, cutting tools, and fixtures.
